Voluntary Recall

January 29, 2009--Ocean Road Foods announced a Voluntary Recall of all Bridgehampton Gorp™ trail mix products. Peanuts contained in the mix were purchased from the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).

PCA is under investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. Due to this investigation, Ocean Road Foods has enacted a voluntary recall of Bridgehampton Gorp™. All flavors, lots and SKUs are being recalled.

We dry roast all peanuts in Bridgehampton Gorp™, a process that would eliminate this Salmonella threat. However, maximum caution leads us to this Voluntary Recall.
